There's more than one right way!
Welcome to class!
This class covers nighttime sleep training and is best for well babies ages 6-15 months.
Part 1: Setting the Stage
The video chapters in Part 1 will teach you all about setting the stage for effective sleep training and ask you to spend approximately one week working on the following:
-
optimizing your baby’s sleep environment (changing rooms if needed),
-
adjusting or reducing night feedings if needed (learn what's normal and how to make a change),
-
setting the right schedule for your baby (including a discussion of naps),
-
shifting bed and wake times earlier or later,
-
creating pre-sleep routines,
-
identifying and working on sleep associations,
-
what to do about pacifiers and naps.
You’ll also learn important information on the science behind sleep and potential medical disruptors of sleep.
Many of you will notice significant improvements after just this preparation week alone. If problems persist, continue with part 2 of the class.
Part 2: Customization and Implementation
The video chapters in Part 2 will teach you all the tools you need to customize and implement a parent led sleep training plan that feels right for your family. You will have the option to choose and in-the-room strategy OR an out-of-the room strategy and learn the pros and cons to both.
You will learn the following:
-
how to teach your baby to fall asleep and stay asleep (we'll give you lots of options to customize the level of soothing that feels right to you),
-
when to do sleep training,
-
what to expect and how long will it take,
-
troubleshooting if things don’t go as planned (illness, teething, etc),
-
maintaining your progress through regressions.
It's hard to convey the deep level of detailed information, practical solutions, and one-of-a-kind infographics you'll find in this video series. This project was a huge undertaking, but one we are thrilled to be able to share with you now. We look forward to helping you on your journey to better sleep!
